Yes, we can know the worth of our soul when we understand that God came and touched our human soul.

This Christmas season my prayer is that God will, by his grace, remind you again how incredibly powerful God’s love is in our lives. And if you can, during this Advent season, find a place to walk in the snow, meditate, and let the truth of God’s love cover you!

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you help us in a new way to begin to understand this promise and to speak it to others.  You know best what we need, whether it is healing or growth, help us.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, to die and then rise from the dead for each one of us. Thank you for making it possible to have victory in the life experiences that would otherwise keep us in overwhelming despair. Father, help us to have eyes of faith that understand this. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for showing us the way through hard times. During this Lent season, Lord, help me to see there will be victory and that your will for my life is one that will end in resurrection and hope. Thank you, Lord, that I am on the way to the resurrection. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word that brings to us the person and the words of Jesus. Thank you, Father, that you are always with us no matter what we go through. We pray that you help us live our lives in light of this knowledge. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear God, today and throughout this Lent Season, help me to be mindful and thankful for the provision of comfort we receive through Your Son, Jesus. Thank you that You are there to comfort us when life is hard and painful. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for being the true healer. Thank you for the way you have created my heart to be satisfied in you alone. Lord, I ask you to heal my heart so I can see you more clearly than I ever have before and live the life you desire me to have. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

For this woman, the truth of the Gospel changed her.  It touched her heart, and it showed in her outer being. This is the power of the Bible-based trauma care we use at Lutheran Indian Ministries.

Death comes with such finality. It leaves us reeling and yearning, with a tremendous sense of loss. It shadows us in darkness while we struggle in it. Yet, death is a part of life. Part of the Good News we celebrate at Christmas is God, through the birth of His Son, Jesus, has not abandoned us in this dark experience of death.
