Mighty God - Saturday, December 19 (Advent 2020)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… And he will be called… Mighty God…
Isaiah 9:6

Mighty - גִּבּוֹר (gibbowr) - valiant, strongest, champion, chief

God - אֵל (‘êl) - God, power, greatness, the Almighty

We have the valiant champion, the strongest power, the Almighty on our side. As we get closer to Christmas Day, let us continue to remember who it is we are celebrating. It is not merely a baby in a manger, but the Savior himself in the flesh.

Take today to catch up on any missed days, and reflect on the Mighty God who came to earth and humbled himself to save us.

DIG INTO THE WORD. SPEND TIME IN PRAYER.
LISTEN TO WHAT GOD HAS TO SAY.
