Read: 1 John 3:1, 2 Corinthians 9:12-14

1 John 3:1

1See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

2 Corinthians 9:12-14

12This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.

Reflect:

As believers, we are children of God. But those who do not know Christ as their Lord and Savior, do not know what it truly means to be a Christian. But they could! With each action we take to love our neighbor, we reflect Jesus to the world, as well as the great gift of life and hope we receive through his resurrection. Give thanks to the Lord today through acts of kindness, especially to those you might otherwise forget.
