What a joy it was on Christmas Eve to not only to celebrate the birth of our Savior but also the new birth, by water and the Word, of a whole household. Christmas does not get much better than that!

You probably have some good ideas, maybe you even have some great ideas, about what your life should look like and the jobs you want to do. Yet, have you ever stopped to think about God's ideas?

The three answers with which Jesus overcame are the mottoes by which we shall conquer.

Trust God, by whose will we live. 

Worship God, in whose service we get all of this world that is good for us. 

Tempt not God, whose angels keep us in our ways, when they are His ways, and who reckons trust that is not submission to His ways to be tempting God, and not trusting Him.
